Aww omg. That is cute. Claudius would hate it though.
I suppose one of the Dibbuns would work for Cindy Lou too. I forgot about them.

OH MY GOD. That comic is hilarious and true. They mention the baby and never bring it up again.

Daisy: One single passionate line about her daughter The rest of the book: ..... there was.... a baby...?
tbh though the baby is probably one of the main reasons she stayed with Tom other than the money itself. the baby permanently linked them together.

That's true. And I'm not sure divorce was as much of a thing back then?
I haven't read the book in a while.

I don't think a divorce would have been the end of the world, it wasn't even really mentioned in the book. But yeah. I think the point was that, in the end, even though Daisy obviously loved Jay far more than Tom and wanted to be with him, she stayed because of the continual financial stability that would let her live a lavished life at the top of the food chain no matter what. Jay's money wasn't reliable enough and he didn't have real social connections.

It's a good book. I can imagine a person would enjoy it a lot more if they weren't forced to read it for English....

That's so true. I did like some of the books we read in class.
Brave New World
A Separate Peace
Othello
Those were my faves

I wanted to read "Brave New World" while we were reading it in class, but all the quizzes were open book and it was the end of the schoolyear so I just... didn't... but I'm sure I could have enjoyed it.
I never read those other two.
One I did read that I liked was John Steinbeck's East of Eden. That was a good book. Of Mice and Men was also good but a lot shorter and more ),:
I also liked Things Fall Apart.... and Night...

I was upset when my Teacher gave me Things Fall Apart, each group had a different book and some other group had a book I wanted to read. But I ended up LOVING that book. I want to read it again.
I skipped the class level where we read Of Mice and Men, but I read it on my own in one class period and it was ;__; but good

Hey, Watership Down is a FANTASTIC book. I want to buy it.
Also... Someone's characters on WoRW need to get engaged so we can have a wedding because I've been thinking about weddings in the Redwall universe all day....
