Species: Common Shrew
Appearance: Hiacynth is a small shrew, with a rather slight build. They keep their soft grey fur clean when they can, and they have patches of darker fur across their shoulders and upper back. They usually wear a lilac tunic, along with their headband, which is mostly green, with some lilac stitching. In their belt is their rapier and some throwing knives. They usually carry a messenger-bag-like pouch, in which they store rations and traveling herbs.
Personality: Hiacynth is a rather demure shrew, and is less prone to passionate arguing. However, they are quite logical, and do on occasion argue, and usually has the better, more sensible points. They are practical, and would rather do a thing themselves than trust in others to do it.
Allies: the Guosim, Redwall, Mossflower residents.
Enemies: vermin attackers, some tribe members (when Hiacynth decides to get in on an argument, they usually make at least one minor enemy.)
Strengths: logical and intelligent, quick reflexes, thorough knowledge of Mossflower, cool-headed
Weakness: a bit estranged from emotions, doesn't work well with others, not exceptionally physically strong.

Background: Born in the abbey, Hiacynth was initially raised as a creature of peace. When they saw Log-a-log and the Guosim visit the abbey for a feast, they realized that they wanted to be one of those shrews, with their knives and headbands and wild way about them. The next season, after receiving the blessings of Father Cornelius and Abbot Whittle, as well as Tsaron Wisebeak, who had been a parental figure for them, they went and joined the Guosim, pledging themself to faithfully serve their Log-a-log and keep Mossflower safe. They've been with the Guosim for four seasons (eight years), and are considered a valued member of the tribe.
