Streamflower flew through her home river, rudder tail propelling her forward. Earlier that morning, she had gotten word that vermin hordes were beginning to get rowdy nearby and that was never good news. The female skipper surfaced from the water shaking off the water from her whiskers. Trident spear in hand, she marched up to the tribe camp grounds. Tala Streamdog looked up to meet her daughter's eyes before silently handing her her tunic. Streamflower nudged her with her head in thanks before changing and turning to address her tribe.
"Streamdogs!" She called. Multiple brown, grey, and tan heads rose to meet her gaze. "As you may have heard, the vermin hordes around Mossflower woods have begun to get bigger and bolder. Fighting them on our own would be no problem. I know I have some of the best fighters in these woods." Streamflower smirked as she spoke, various otters rattling their weapons or swinging thier slings. "But I am concerned that our friends in Redwall have not heard of the vermin threat. Therefore, I am taking any volunteers and heading out to meet with the Abbess." Mumbles began to surface from the crowd but Streamflower silence them with a bang from her trident. "Listen! Redwall needs our help. They've always been kind to our tribe and all the others in Mossflower. We owe them this much. Anyone who wants to venture out with me, come to see me after dinner. Until then, Tala and our lovely cooks have made a delectable dinner and I intend to eat well."
The Streamdog Skipper dipped her head in thanks and turned to walk to the dinning fire. One by one, the other otters began to join in, regular conversation mingling with talks of vermin hordes.
