Here's a question, so I'm thinking that the Long Patrol is going to get to the Abbey shortly before the vermin do, probably by a day. The vermin are closer but I'll just have them camp out or the vermin scouts that have been sent into Mossflower will take their time returning to Argrav.
Anyway, I was thinking how long it takes to get between Redwall and Salamandastron, and I feel like it varies a lot. It takes forever in Mossflower, but in some other books I think it only takes them two or three days?? Does anyone have any idea of a proper time? All the maps in the books are different so that doesnt help lol.

Probably has more to do with the route taken.

I'm sure taking the River Moss would speed up the journey, if you had a way to sail it.

Are there any otters in the roleplay that aren't currently at Redwall? It would give them an opportunity to roleplay, helping the hares get to Redwall.
If not, I'd say they'd simply have to travel along the river. Their size would probably keep any other creatures off their back, such as the pesky guosim that seem to like to muck up people traveling, as long as the vermin don't notice them.
It's also important to consider that in Mossflower, they probably didn't have the shortest route mapped out. If this roleplay is taking place in the future, after Mr. Jacques' works, it's reasonable to believe that the best route has been discovered by now. Of course, perhaps the vermin block the shortest route, so the journey may take them more like 5 or 6 days or so? Just food for thought.

I think there's just Taurian and Tarlya at Redwall right now, and Hiacynth would probably try to help if they could, but not much has happened with the Guosim lately. I think there's a skipper of otters but I haven't seen them in a while.

I do have an otter character I was going to bring into the story. I was waiting for a good time. She hails from the western coast, north of Salamandastron. She may not be the best guide to Redwall though. I should at least post her dossier/description.
