Okay so I figured, in case anyone needs to figure out directions, we might as well have a map. Each map in the books is a little different from the others, so I went and found the map from the Official Redwall Map & Riddler, and that's the one we'll be using. Is everyone okay with this? Or if you have another map you'd like to suggest, please feel free to! Here's the image link if you need to see it larger i.imgur.com/UMALd7E.jpg

That map certainly does make Redwall and Salamandastron look close!

It does!! I didn't realize there were mountain ranges in between them though.
I guess in Mossflower they do go through Bat Mountpit.

I actually used that map to plot out Ferox's journey through Mossflower! It's a good map to use.

Depending on the book it looks a lot different. The poster is a lot like the maps in Salamandastron and Mariel of Redwall. It had been a long time since I looked up the maps, so I had a notion that Mossflower woods looked a lot different. Bigger even. I'll have to integrate this into my writing.

Honestly, I thought the same about Mossflower. I assumed it was bigger, and looking at my copy of The Rogue Crew, there's no mountains between Redwall and Salamandastron either.
Of course, the map is different in each book. some have the mountains, some dont. In (I think it was Loamhedge) Redwall was completely surrounded by woods in the map, whereas in others there's a clearing on one side.
So I'm not really sure.

There could have been a huge forest fire or something, and the land around it has been turned to tall grass? *shrugs*
I thought there was the woods, then the ditch, then the road from the abbey to St. Ninian's. Then there is also the fjord near the T in the path that turns towards the abbey... I think. It's been so long since I've read all the books. I should just draw what I'm picturing here.

Who's to say there are no woods there? This is just a simple map, and some of the woods left of Redwall were probably left out to make the abbey appear larger in this map, to be located easier.
Besides, terrain changes with time.

That's true!! I considered our RP to take place after the last Redwall book.

Does the Rogue Crew have a good map to go by?

It's a decent map. Mainly shows Salamandastron and the Redwall area, which really is all we need i.imgur.com/Le6UDWd.jpg
