I thought about making a "Let's Talk About Anime" thread but idk maybe someday Instead, I wanted to make a thread about animated movies! Movies you like, movies you hate, movies you want to see, movies you wish you hadn't spent your money on, classics, Disney, etc... I would have made this a more general movie thread but... Then I feel there would be maybe just a bit TOO much to talk about! And of course, we must take a moment to lament the lack of a Redwall series-based film. I know some people still suffer from the Great Mossflower Movie Myth. Which Redwall book would you have liked to be made into a film? And to start off...One of my favorite animated films of all time is Anastasia, the animated film by Don Bluth. He and Gary Goldman actually have an Indiegogo campaign for their next (and likely final?) animated film, Dragon's Lair, based on the old video game. I, myself, donated $50 because I have no impulse control. Anastasia is a beautifully done film, whether or not you agree with rotoscoping (or those that claim it wasn't rotoscoped at all). The musical numbers, each and every one, fill my heart with such intense emotion! And goodness, who didn't have a crush on Dmitri when they were younger (or even now)? Plus, the story is so heartwarming, reuniting a broken family and defeating the forces of evil, love conquering the obstacles... That's my sort of movie, haha.

Oh wow, I'm really excited for that Dragon's Lair!!! I didn't know that was gonna be a movie I love that game.
I've seen Anastasia before, but not in a long time!! If I recall correctly, there was a ballroom scene at one point that was really nice?? That's the only thing that I can recall right away form that movie.
I know they're not completely animated, but movies like Pete's Dragon, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit are some of my favorites. The actors interact well with the animated ones and it's just really cool.
Also if any Redwall book wee to become a movie, I'd want it to be Redwall. (Or Taggerung but I mean, Taggerung is my fave book I'm biased)

That's the only thing that I can recall right away form that movie. Yes! The scene where she dances with her relatives who are all dead... It's like, in her imagination. I love that scene quite a lot. The song she sings during it is just so beautiful... And Pete's Dragon/Who Framed Roger Rabbit/Cool World - type movies are sooooo good, I love them so much, I could seriously re-watch all three of those over and over forever. Also, if I were to have one Redwall book be made into a film (other than Redwall, because it would logically have to be the first one made) I'd definitely want it to be Mossflower.

ooh I need to watch Anastasia. There's so many movies I need to see....
Also I agree Mossflower would make a great movie. The real question is, what company do we trust enough to make a Redwall film??
Speaking of which, I usually mostly watch Disney films. I've always been a Disney person. (Though I wouldnt want them getting their hands on Redwall)

A Mossflower movie would be nice. So would a High Rhulain or Pearls of Lutra movie.
