it's a meme. Anyway hi, I'm tumblr user martin-the-warriorior, professional trash. Ordinarily I'd say you can call me by my name, Skip, but that might be confusing on a Redwall forum, so just go with whatever name works for you. Except Skippy. I discovered the Redwall series waaay back in elementary school. First book I read was Martin the Warrior, and I've been in love with Jacques' work since. In fact, I loved it so much it inspired me to become a writer, so these days I'm trying to get published. Right now I'm planning to contact a company (soon) that specializes in interactive novels (if they accept my pitch, I'll have a fantasy novel out in about a year or so). Okay so, some stuff about me, - I'm a 23 year old writer man.
- I subsist off of $1 frozen pizzas and about 6.5 metric tons of cocoa pebbles daily.
- I listen to music constantly (current favorites: Adam Young and Barns Courtney).
- I've started lifting weights nearly every day
just to spite gravity because I just like it. - Otters are my favorite animal and I legitimately cry sometimes when I see them.
- I like to fight, but I suck at it.
- I think I'm funny.
- Can't sleep. Ever.
I don't know how active I'll be, honestly. I really want to get back into Redwall roleplaying, but I have two jobs and I'm trying to get published, so it'll be tricky. Anyway, I look forward to writing with y'all. (I am wondering, though, what's been going on in the main plot lately? I haven't read through any RP threads yet, so I don't know if the Main Plot summary is still up to date.) |

Welcome aboard Skip! The main plot summary is pretty much blank but I'd be happy to explain what's been going on recently. We've created our own little story, revolving around a vicious wildcat and his horde coming towards Redwall Abbey to take it over. I'm not as good at explaining as I thought I would be but talk to Margorr! She's the creator of the site and would probably be happy to help you out! I'm also here if you have any questions :3

Thanks! Once I can get a handle on the plot, it'll be easier to come up with a character. If there are any roles that need to be filled for things to continue, I'd like to help.

Hi there! I've seen a few of your posts around tumblr and they've always been pretty amazing.  Great to have you! As for the plot, it hasn't gotten too far--the bad guys have just shown up to talk at Redwall, no battling or anything yet. I'll echo that Margorr is probably the best to explain more in-depth, especially as far as where more characters are needed/could be introduced! Stuff has been pretty slow for a while (I'm one of those guilty of being away a lot recently, oops), unfortunately...though that does mean catching up will be easier. When it comes to making a character, you're welcome to look at the character positions list to see what's taken (though again, I'd talk to Margorr about this--partially because some positions may reopen if the people filling them have been inactive too long, and partially because there may be other things not listed that would be available). Other than that, it's mostly just about what sort of character you'd like to play, and where/what you'd like to RP! It can be helpful to take a look at other profiles and see if there are characters you think you might like to interact with at some point, or to think about where certain types of characters are likely to be/what part they're likely to play in the plot! |

Hey!! Welcome to the forum!! I love your Redwall blog by the way haha.
I do need to update positions and the plot summary. I'm not even gonna ask some people if they want back, I'm just going to remove the position if they've been gone long enough. I've been really busy but you can expect new RP posts from me tonight or tomorrow. As far as plot goes, I can sum it up real quick.
We started at Salamandastron, where whole groups of hares never came back from patrols, so when the rescue group was sent to find them, they were ambushed and killed by the same vermin who got the first bunch. The handful of survivors who managed to flee returned to the mountain and brought news to the Badger Lord that a large group of vermin was headed south. A group of LP hares were sent to Redwall as a precaution, and the rest stayed back to track the vermin.
The vermin in question are the army of Captain Argrav Kelnris, a wildcat who was formerly a slaver. He gave up the seafaring life when his ship was wrecked on the coast of Mossflower, and has since been gathering forces and fighting his way through the north, conquering lands and gaining forces. He's getting on in years though and would rather settle down and rule. Where else would he pick but Redwall Abbey? Mossflower has milder weather than the north, and the Abbey would be a perfect fortress.
So now his troops are camped in the ruins of St. Ninians, and he and his officers are waiting to Parley wtih the Redwallers, and the Long Patrol, who made it to the Abbey mere hours before the vermin did.
As far as characters, if there's a position you want, let me know, I'll see who has it and if you'd be able to have it. You dont have to have a specific role though. Some characters are just characters. They make their own destiny. The only position not available is that of the Abbey Warrior, which will be given to the character staff thinks would be best. There's currently 3 staff members, and when the time comes we'd discuss it.
