Full Name:
Mildred Silverdew
Nick Name(s):
Millie
Gender:
Female
Pronouns:
She/Her/Hers
Age:
Elder (Probably between 60-70 human years)
Species:
Mouse
Appearance:
Short, wiry, with dark gray fur that has begun to grow lighter and lighter around the edges as she ages. Her eyes are a deep green, and she wears reading glasses. Wears the typical green Abbey robes and sandals, and is secretly pleased the robes bring out her eyes. When she walks, she hobbles a little, but has so far refused the idea of a cane. Her whiskers have grown quite crinkly, as well. She's rather thin, especially noticeable at her wrists and ankles, but it's simply a natural part of her aging.
Personality:
Quick-witted and sharp to the last, Mildred doesn't mess around. While she can be kind to the dibbuns, she is also strict, and eager that they learn to respect their elders and the ways of Abbey life. Prefers the company of her quill and ink over the company of other creatures, and is often holed up in her study, writing away. Always seems to be very concerned about the weather and the crops, and is usually the first to retire from feasts and other events, so that she can write about it before going to sleep. While Mildred was never courted in her youth, she is easy to fluster, and even the smallest compliments can set her to blushing. She is also very fond of apple cider in the wintertime.
Allies:
Redwall Abbey and all those who stand beside it in times of need
Enemies:
Vermin, and those who wish harm upon the Abbey
Strengths:
- Quite intelligent and good at putting her thoughts into words
- Knows just about everything there is to know about the Abbey
- Convinced she has no weaknesses (haha, she's stubborn)
Weakness:
- Old, physically incapable of much of what she used to do
- Can get a bit of a temper if her buttons are pushed
- Gets lonely easily, but hides it, and when she does receive too much attention, gets irritated
Goal:
Fulfill her duties as Abbey Recorder for the next generations.
Background:
Born in Mossflower, she came to the Abbey at a very young age when she was left at it's doorstep. Redwall is the only home she has ever known, and never once had the desire to stray away. A very serious and respectful girl, she watched various creatures her age leave the Abbey for adventure or to create a home in Mossflower wood, while she stayed, in hopes of becoming Abbess. However, once she reached adulthood, she grew very attached to the recorder before her, and decided that this role would be one far better suited for her, and was relieved when it was bestowed upon her. In her youth, Mildred had always been a bit solitary, but is attached to those who have been around a long time, and hopes for a future where the Abbey is filled with healthy creatures who desire nothing more than peace and receive nothing less than prosperity and safety.
Quirks:
Hums a lot under her breath, even when it's not entirely appropriate.
Weapons:
A quill and ink.
Other things that may be important: This information will most likely hardly be relevant, but I suppose I should throw in there that Mildred is a lesbian, and probably asexual.
