Within the next week or two, depending on how things progress, several of your characters are going to start having dreams of Martin the Warrior.
These characters will be picked by Admins, though you may suggest which of your characters you would prefer had the dream, or if there's someone you don't want to dream of Martin, they can be excluded.
They'll be sent to you privately over Messaging, and it's up to you whether or not you'll disclose that you've dreamt or not. The dream can range anything from a simple sighting of Martin, to him actually speaking to you.
I might try to write a poem or riddle but I actually suck really hard at those haha.

I love this! I can imagine poor old Mildred getting a dream and trying to make sense of it. This idea is actually really creative.

This is a really cool idea! It would be really neat to incorporate the riddles into what our characters are doing. I can imagine it already!  Um, if you need a formula for riddles, I would be willing to help. I'm not the best at it, but I can try. |

Like depending on the type of riddle it is, especially the kind that double as maps and stuff. It's been a while since I've written a riddle like that though.

I can give a few suggestions if you want! And maybe we can also give the vermin nightmares? (I.E. Cluny's nightmares/Raga Bol's nightmares) of their foes/their deaths?

Just so everyone is aware, not all of you will have a character that is going to have a dream.
I feel a little bad, but dreams from Martin are rare even in the books. I did make sure that no one person will have more than one character with a dream. These are going to be used as plot devices I hope.

I might have my character have a dream of Martin beckoning him to Redwall Abbey, where he has not visited, being too shy at the moment, if it is OK. He has a foreboding of the Abbey, thinking that if he ever entered the place, his life will change drastically. So he avoids it. He likes his life as a hermit and doesn't want to change it.

I don't think Jared will be getting the dreams.
1) The Eastern Islands doesn't exist in the Redwall book-canon universe. It would make little sense for Martin to choose him seeing as the Sandeye is from a nonexistent part of the world. If dreams and cryptic messages do come to Jared, they are usually given to him by either Edoran or his father, Dane. What reasons, if any, would Martin have to choose him?
2) Jared wouldn't want to be the Champion even if Martin asked him to. He'd be clueless as to handle the pressure and the weight of responsibility the duty comes with. Like many other characters on this forum, his life has been filled with pain, loss, suffering, fear, stress, regret, and sorrow. And let's face it: Martin's sword must be damn heavy!
There can only be one Champion of the Abbey at any given time. I don't want it to be Jared.
