Ginger kept eating, biting into her pastie like there was no tomorrow. "That sounds like a solid plan. What's the highest price you've ever gotten for a pelt like his?"

"You know, I'm right here..." Baro begins.
"Hush you. The adults are talking," the otter shushes Baro, "As for price...huh, well the most I ever got was, 3 gold peices, about a months wage for me. But that was a commition from some barron and it was a beautifull fox. Well fed too..."
"Can you go one minute with out talking about killing foxes you crazy psycopath!" Baro lets out a shout, he turns to the hare with a look of hurt, "And you...why are you doing this? Why are you helping her? Helping her to..." his ears fall flat and he whimpers again.

"I can't hear you Baro, I'm too busy eating."
With that she tucks into her pastie again.
"Do you think you'll get a lot for him, Kacy?"

"Are those...are those my pastries?" Baro twitches an eye. Some how he always knew his machinations would led him to this. He just expected to be older...and at least given a propper last meal.
"What ever I am worth it could be substancially more i-if you don't kill me. I was traveling to a feast in another town. If you wait a week, there will be more fox hide to collect..."
"You really are grasping at straws arn't you?" the otter hands back the hare her flask, "I would say, oh, 10 silver. 12 if I haggle it right...why do you ask?"

Ignoring the fox, Ginger shrugs.
"Just curious. When my brother and I start traveling again, we'll have to earn some extra polly somehow right?"
After gulping down the rest of her food, Ginger takes another swig from the cordial and stretches out.
"Say, would you ever like to come back to the abbey with me and stay for a night or two? Their doors are always open y'know."
((sorry for the clockwork orange reference. i couldn't think of another word for money xD ))

The otteress cackles again with laughter, "Me? At the abbey? I doubt that I would be very welcome there with my foxy hide stealing ways. Speaking of which." the otter readies her knife.
"N-no...no...no...no no no nononono..." Baro begins to scoot away from the otter as she advances with a deadly gleam in her eyes.
"So Mr. Fox, any last words, perhaps you would to tell me your preference of where you want the knife. You neck? Chest? Tummy?"
Baro twitches an ear, casting a pleading glance towards ginger. He was holding out a hope, however small, that she was just playing along to save him, but he isn't going to put all his eggs in that basket.
"I'm worth more alive." the fox whines, "I have a bounty on my head. There are some...some bounty hunters after me, among others. I'm worth more than some pretty little silver peices too."
The fox looks away, closing his eyes and not wanting to see the otter's blade as it draws closer to his neck. However Kacy just uses the knife to tap on his chin, causing Baro to look upward.
"As far as last words go, I find them rather interesting..."

Ginger looks at the fox and shakes her head. She looks towards the food laid out in front of her. She spot one pastry in particular; one with cream and berries on it. Picking it up, she looked Baro dead in the eye while slowly eating it.

"This bounty, fairly large one?" the otter-ess waves the knife precariously close to the fox's nose.
"N-not really. Not compared to some at least. I mean if you were a bounty hunter it would catch your eye but-" the fox ceases his rambling whenthe otter puts the tip of the blade on his snout, "I'm worth my weight in copper coins." he blurts out quickly.
"Not a bad price, who'd-ja murder to fetch such a pretty sum?"
"No o-one. Just some very, very steep gambling debts. Well, if you were to ask a certain tribe of s-"
Interupting the fox the otter cackles in laughter. "You are a mighty poor gambler if you got a bounty fer it. Fine, don't tell me all the details...Ginger," Kacy turns to the hare, "Are you up for a spot of adventure?" she asks with a mad gleam in her eye.

Ginger returns the gaze and starts to pack up the food.
"You know I am, Kacey, my mate! Where shall we take this beast?"
Pushing the thought about returning to redwall the next day to the back of her mind, she slung her bag over her shoulder and walked over to the otter.

What strange fortune Smik seemed to have, first meeting an otter woodlander who didn't just kill him on sight or taken prisoner. Now as he tried to nap in a treetops bough there were 3 beasts who decided to stop beneath him and didn't notice him. Taking a quick peek, he examined them, a strange and creepy otter, a hare who seems good, and the fox...hasn't he seen him before? Oh right, a poster had his face on it with a reward for him.
Climbing down silently the black furred rat slowly reached the ground behind the tree, making sure he wasn't heard. Picking up a sizable rock, he tossed it at a high and distant angle away from where they set up to rest. It landed into some bushes, mimicing a sound a beast would make moving into a bush.

The otter responds first to the hare, "Why my friend, we are going to a little place called The Rat's Nest. It's only about a half a days journey in..."
Kacy's head swivels towards the sound in the bushes but it's Baro that panics. "They're here! They've come for me!" he bolts up to his feet and attempts to flee into the woods even with his paws bound behind him.
"H-hey! Get back here!" the otter shouts before taking a step to rush after him.

gunger turns towards the bushes but whips back after hearing Baro escape. immediatly, she grabs her sling, loads a rock in, and throws it. she loaded more stones and kept firing them at the moving target.
"Kacy, aim an arrow right at his leg! That'll stop him"

Smik knew the fox would try and bolt the first sign of trouble was spotted, so he had climbed the tree quickly before thy noticed him and drew his bow. Nocking an arrow from his limited quiver, he aimed towards Ginger firing an arrow to make her stop slinging stones and nocking a second quickly to shoot at Kacy to make her move away.
Shouldering his bow, he proceeded to leap to a tree nearby in the direction the fox was going, hoping this second time of tree hopping went better then last time.
(OOC: No obvious reference there. XD)

((lol )) Ginger flinched as an arrow sailed past her ear and buried itself in the earth. Looking up at where it came, she saw something moving from tree to tree. She pulled the arrow out of the ground, tucked it in her belt, and started to run after the fox and the mysterious figure in the trees. "We can't lose them!"
